P6 Think Big

Date: May 28, 2014 Author: Siobhan Categories: Previous Years

In p6 we have been learning lots of different things in maths.  We have been learning about percentages, area, perimeter, volume, squared, prime numbers, factors, fractions, ratio and relationship between fractions, decimals.

In English we have been learning about different types of words – similes, synonyms, homophones, apostrophes, speech marks, and compound words, singular – plural collective nouns, story writing, comprehension based on poetry, and our class novel is THE WITCHES.

We have recently gone on a rugby tournament in Lough Moss Activity Centre. We played against other teams and we really enjoyed it.

In ICT we have been learning about Keyboard skills, using the internet to find information, databases, I movie, used an I pad to find out facts about Antarctica.
