Our Butterfly Survey

On Tuesday we removed weeds, removed stones and took away dead leaves.  Mr Johnston dug two holes because Mrs Ringland didn’t have enough muscles and the ground was too hard for her to dig.  We put some compost in because the other soil was not rich enough for the plants to grow.  We took out the pots to loosen the roots because the roots were not happy and they wanted to free themselves.  We carefully put it in the hole and added some more compost in and covered the soil of the plants.  We pushed the compost down because they need quite a lot of compost and it will be easier to water the plants.  Then we watered the plants because there had been no rain for weeks.  We chose that area because it already had ivy and blackberries.  We planted them because we wanted a lot of beautiful butterflies to fly all around in our butterfly garden.
