We are delighted that we have received our third Eco Green Flag Award.  Julia Brown from Eco schools, along with Nigel McGarry carried out the assessment and were very encouraging about our environmental work.

Eco School

We are part of a continually growing community of schools internationally who

are concerned with environmental issues and we work hard to care for the
environment. We continue to hold Green Flag status and have done for a
number of years.

Within school we continue to do everyday Eco friendly things like recycling,
keeping food for composting, conserving energy and reducing photocopying.

Our approach to Eco Schools continues to involve not just the teachers and
pupils but also parents and community representatives. The committee
involves every child in the school in reusing and recycling paper, plastic and
organic material.

We are currently involved in a project with Haberton and with the help of
Glencraig School we are aiming to plant mature trees between our two
schools. This will create the second arboretum in Northern Ireland.
